There are two types of herbal extractions. High alcohol extractions are taken in drops and low alcohol extractions are taken in teaspoons. Essiac is a low alcohol extraction comparable to de-alcoholized wine. There is more alcohol in a mouth full of mouthwash than there is in a 300 ml bottle of Essiac Extract.
The low alcohol content in the Essiac Extract still plays an important role in the absorption rate of the herbal molecules. Alcohol becomes a magic carpet for the herbal properties of Essiac. When Essiac Extract is swished around in the mouth for a minute before swallowing, the herbal properties will pass directly through the cells of the mouth and are absorbed into the body.
For clients who cannot consume alcohol products:
Pour 1 - 2 teaspoons of the Essiac Extract into a 1/4 cup of warm distilled water to help evaporate the alcohol before drinking.
